I would like to see a sign by all laminating paper/equipment along with copy machines letting the customers know their options of proper preservation prior to purchasing the laminating paper or the non-archival quality copy/print paper.
Concerning a news article from 1985: The customer asked how to preserve the news article. The salesperson said to laminate it. So she did; after she made a nice photocopy of it.
